Ready, Set, READ! at MPL with special guest Amber Vasquez of Twirl Taos In-Person
Ready, Set, READ! is a summer program for beginning and emerging readers who can recognize their letters and read a few words or maybe more than a few. This program is best for ages 5 -7. We request that caregivers stay in the library during the program. Children may need caregiver help after storytime with the games and activities.
Our summer reading theme is Find Your Voice! Expect fun picture books including biographies of famous musicians, scientists, and more. We play literacy games and practice gross and fine motor skills including coloring, cutting, and printing.

- Read about longer picture books together.
- Sing songs to work on letter sounds and sight words.
- Read and play fun literacy games.
- Write and play to practice motor skills, large and small.
- Play together with a new theme each week.
