Curate a youth pop up art show In-Person
Pop Up Art Gallery for Youth Art
Mesa Public Library (Illusions Art Gallery)
White Rock Branch Library (children’s play space)
Artists ages 2-17 are welcome. Art should be something that can be pinned/attached to a bulletin board. Pop Up shows are available year-round. Please use the attached form or stop by a library youth services desk.
- Pick up an empty art folio bag at either library.
- Gather one piece of art from each student or multiple pieces of art from one student artist. The space can accommodate up to 25 pieces under 24 x 24 inches.
- It's ok to bring the art in a single batch without the folio bag. Library staff will put the art in a folio for safekeeping.
- Fill out the form with grade/age, school or organization (if applicable), adult contact name, adult contact email, and name of art show. The name of the show could be the theme, the inspiration, the technique, or anything else creative.
- Drop the art and form at either library clearly marked with Youth Services- Illusions Art Gallery or WR children's play space.
- As of August 2023, there's no set limit to shows per teacher or artist annually.
Library staff will hang the art in our gallery space(s) with signage indicating the name of the artist, organization, school, etc, the name of the show, and the dates of the show. The art will stay up for four weeks from the day we hang the show. We will email the show coordinator the day the show goes up. When the show comes down, we will email the coordinator to come pick up the artwork. Artwork that has not been picked up three months after it was displayed will be recycled.
