Books & Banter: New Books for Teens

Books & Banter: New Books for Teens In-Person

  • new teen books to check out
  • snacks
  • games
  • prizes
  • conversation

Every month the library adds new books and other media to our shelves. In youth services, we set aside all the latest teen/young adult books to share those sparkling new titles with our 7th-12th grade patrons. Library staff do quick book synopses of all of them, we read and review some of them, and we share all that bookish information once a month at Books & Banter.

Come talk about what you're reading, watching, listening to, or playing. Be the first to check out new teen fiction, non-fiction, and graphic novels. Tell youth services staff about the books you want us to buy, the programs you want us to plan, and the activities that you enjoy. We want to know what you want from the library.

We give away books, play fun games, do drawings for prizes, and always have snacks. This group is for both middle school and high school students. We support and encourage a welcoming and accepting atmosphere for all teens.
