Pendragon: The Barnyard Tournament, a one-shot rpg In-Person
Pendragon: The Barnyard Tournament
Join David Larkins, line editor of the Pendragon RPG, on an adventure in the medieval fantasy world of King Arthur! Pendragon is part of the Chaosium family of games.
In this adventure, three mysterious ladies intercept a group of knights on a scouting mission for King Arthur. They offer a curious quest: to guide a young, fatherless lord on his path to knighthood and defend his manor from an impending Saxon raid.
Will the knights abandon their mission to help the boy? Glory awaits those who follow the Path of Adventure!
Each part of the story highlights a different knightly experience: a tournament, a game of skill, and a battle.
Your characters are all aspiring knights, visiting the great city of Londinium under the dark, wintery clouds of a land plunged into anarchy. The goal: to participate in a grand tournament to find the next High King of Britain! And in the lonely courtyard of St. Paul's Cathedral, an ivy-wreathed sword in a stone stands, forgotten...
Pendragon is the game of medieval Arthurian fantasy. Its unique system of Traits and Passions drives compelling, unforgettable narratives of heroism and tragedy. No experience with the game necessary to play; players will be provided pre-generated characters at the start of the game.
This small group game experience will have four players. Pre-registration is required. We'll keep a waiting list and move you up if anyone cancels. Additionally, we'll send email reminders to registered participants the day before. If you register for this program, please come! If you cannot attend, please cancel through the calendar entry so the waiting list players can fill in.
Our one-shot RPG experience happens during the library's monthly Tabletop Game Day. While the RPG is for adults in the smaller rooms within The Zone, the main area of The Zone has games for all ages.
