"The Hateful Place" — A RuneQuest Playtest

"The Hateful Place" — A RuneQuest Playtest In-Person

Nearly as venerable as Dungeons & Dragons, since 1978 the RuneQuest role-playing game has shown countless players the wonders of its remarkable world of Bronze Age fantasy, Glorantha. Now you can help playtest the forthcoming new edition of the game with one of the developers, David Larkins.

The Lunars have dispatched a group of broo mercenaries to unleash upon the city of Pavis the festering magic of an ancient chaos site. Can the characters disrupt the ritual and prevent a tragedy, or will the Lunar Empire come one step closer to reclaiming their hold over the city?

No experience with previous iterations of RuneQuest necessary. Pre-generated characters provided; feedback at the end of the session is welcome.

This small group game experience will have four players.  Pre-registration is required. We'll keep a waiting list and move you up if anyone cancels. Additionally, we'll send email reminders to registered participants the day before. If you register for this program, please come! If you cannot attend, please cancel through the calendar entry so the waiting list players can fill in.

Our one-shot RPG experience happens during the library's monthly Tabletop Game Day. While the RPG is for adults in smaller rooms within The Zone, the main area of The Zone has games for all ages.
