Native American Heritage Reading & Activity Challenge

Native American Heritage Reading & Activity Challenge

Learn about Native American heritage while completing reading and activity challenges that place a big emphasis on contemporary culture. Books are included, of course, but we've also worked hard to compile a lot of digital resources that are available for instant viewing right from the comfort of your own home. Stream a wide array of contemporary author talks, children's read alouds, documentaries, and so much more!

This program runs 10 weeks to maximize opportunities for learning and engagement and has been designed to serve both Native and non-Native library users. It is intended to address the need for respectful representation of Native peoples and culture by public institutions and to foster both educational opportunities and cultural sensitivity among non-Natives.

Appropriate for all ages. Includes options for varied levels of engagement, lots of incentives, and great prizes!
